Gain specialist training in a wide range of sports principles and techniques to lead you into a career in coaching, physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, sports science including research and development, teaching, sports journalism, marketing or fitness instructing. Study at a professional training environment at our Woodley campus, which boasts fantastic new sporting facilities following a £9m investment on the 23 acre site. The campus offers state of the art fitness, football and tennis facilities, as well as bespoke classrooms and computer rooms available only to Stockport College students. The Uniformed Public Services make a real difference at local and national level, tackle wider environmental issues and play a central role in modern society every day. The Uniformed Public Services courses offer a wide range of subject matter including teamwork and leadership, citizenship and diversity in the public services, crime and its effect on society, through to understanding the importance sport and physical activity in the uniformed public services. You will also have the chance to supplement your studies by having the opportunity to take part in extensive outdoor activities through the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (DofE) and National Citizen Service (NSC) which are well regarded by employers in the sector. Uniformed Public Services will run at our Woodley campus and students enrolled on these courses benefit from unlimited access to Life Leisure gym facilities and a number of activities run on the campus.
